Devizes, WiltshireThe Devizes Market Place is the largest in the West of England. A mixture of buildings of many periods surrounds it; nearly all listed as of architectural or historic interest. Devizes lies at the mouth of the Vale of Pewsey and its eighteenth century houses, stately semicircular market place, two churches and excellent museum make it well worth a visit. Just outside Devizes you can enjoy a pleasant canalside walk alongside the Kennet and Avon Canal which boasts 29 locks at Caen Hill. Links
